What is Impotence?

Impotence is when a man’s penis either will not get hard or will not stay hard long enough for him to have sex. About 30 million men in the U.S. suffer from impotence.

Causes of Impotence:

Many people believe impotence is “all in a man’s head”. In fact, most cases of impotence have a physical cause. Blood vessel disease, diabetes, pelvic surgery, radiation therapy, spinal cord injury and multiple sclerosis can all cause impotence. Your doctor may be able to cure your impotence by treating the underlying cause.

Treatments for Impotence:

There are several ways to treat impotence. Vacuum pumps are just one of the possible ways. You should ask your doctor for more information on the treatment of impotence. Some of the others treatments are; Drugs- Drugs that injected into the penis can make it hard for several hours. The injections also can scar and damage the penis. Implants- Two implants are surgically placed into the penis. A pump place in the scrotum inflates the implants and makes the penis hard.

How Vacuum Erection Device Works:

A penis becomes hard when blood fills it. Normally, valves in the blood vessels at the base of the penis close to keep blood in the penis and make it hard. In impotence men, the valves in the penis no longer shut tightly. The vacuum pump draws blood into the penis. The constriction ring squeezes the blood vessels at the base of the penis and keeps it. See diagrams below: Buy A Pump

The Risk of Vacuum Therapy

Vacuum therapy is easy to use. However, the treatment has some risks. It is important that you understand these risks.

  • Use of a vacuum pump may mask the underlying cause of you impotence. These causes may include: diabetes, multiple sclerosis, cirrhosis of the liver, chronic alcoholism. You should talk to your doctor about the cause of your impotence before using this product.
  • The rings may bruise the base of your penis. Some bruising is normal and should not be cause for alarm. The risk of bruising will be greater if you take aspirin daily.
  • Vacuum therapy may cause a small “blood blister” on the tip of your penis. This is normal and is not harmful.
  • Your can prevent back flow by pulling down on the bottom side ring just before and during ejaculation.
  • If you wear a ring for more then 30 minutes you may severely bruise or damage you penis.
  • If your wear a ring that is too small, you may severely bruise or damage your penis.
  • If you use too much vacuum, you may harm your penis.
  • You can severely bruise or damage your penis if you do not wait at least 60 minutes between uses of the vacuum pump.

Your impotence may be a sign of a more serious condition, such as diabetes, multiple sclerosis, cirrhosis of the liver, chronic kidney failure, or chronic alcoholism. If you do not talk to your doctor, you may not find out about one of these serious conditions.

How to put the Vacuum Erection Device Together

Buy A Pump

The Vacuum Erection Device will not work unless you have a good vacuum seal. You will need two types of lubricants to use your Vacuum Erection Device. The first is a water soluble lubricant. This type of lubricant will mix with water. Use a water soluble lubricant at the base of the penis to form a seal against the body. Also use this lubricant on the rings and to keep the penis from sticking to the inside of the tube.

Second, use a petroleum based lubricant on the O ring that seal the pump and the tube. See (figure 5). This type of lubricant will not mix with water.

Caution – never use petroleum based lubricants on the constriction rings or a condom. If use petroleum based lubricant on your ring, they may become weak and break. If you use petroleum based lubricants on your condom it may break and fail to protect you or your partner.

  1. To put the system together, place the end of the penile tube over the O ring on the pump. The tube that does not have the ring removal guide attaches to the pump.
  2. Hold the penile tube in one hand and the pump in you other hand and twist the penile tube over the O ring. See (figure 6)

How to Mount the Construction Ring

  1. Attach the mounting cone to the end of the penile tube. (Figure 7).
  2. Hold the ring by the top and bottom handles. Stretch and push the ring down the mounting cone onto the penile tube. The ring is now mounted. (figure 8)
  3. Put some water soluble lubricant on the end of the penile tube. This will help you get a good seal. Put a small amount of the same lubricant on your penis. This will help to keep your penis from sticking to the inside of the tube. (figure 9)

Choosing the Best Constriction Ring

The constriction ring is an important part of your Vacuum Erection Device. The ring must fit well to keep your penis erect. The ring must go around the penis. It should be tight, but comfortable.

Start by choosing the size you think will fit you best; try that size while learning how to use the system. You should start with a larger size. This will make sure that you do not put more pressure on you penis than you need. If you penis becomes soft within five minutes or less, you need to try the next size smaller ring. If the ring seems tight, choose the next size larger. Try the different sizes to find the ring that works best for you. You have four rings to choose from.

If you are on of the rare cases where the smallest ring will not keep your penis firm, you may use two rings. Example (sizes 4 & 5). Mount the second ring by repeating step 2 about. (Figure 10)

How to Draw Vacuum to Obtain an Erection

  1. Put your penis in the penile tube. Press the tube firmly against your body. Make sure the ring handles are at the top and bottom of the penis. (As shown below. (Figure 11).            Place both of your thumbs behind the thumb grip on the pump. With the fingers of both hands squeeze the pump handle. This will prevent any jerking motions that could bruise the groin area. This is the easiest way to draw a vacuum. (Figure 12).

FOR YOUR SAFETY, THE VACUUM PUMP IS DESIGHED TO AUTOMATICLLY LIMIT THE VACUUM TO 250MM HG.

Note: You may have to try the system several times to find the right amount of vacuum to make your penis firm without discomfort.

  1. When your penis is hard, keep the tube tightly against your body. With your thumb and forefinger, push the constriction ring off the penile tube and onto the base of your penis. See Illustration below.
  2. Push the release button on the vacuum pump to remove the penile tube.
  3. You penis should now be firm enough to have sex. (Figure 14).                                              Note: If you want to wear a condom, it should be put on as the last step. Do not wear a condom during the vacuum process.
  4. After sex, remove the ring(s) by pulling the top and bottom handles. The ring(s) will stretch and your erection will go down. Pull the ring(s) off the penis.

Tips on Using your Vacuum Erection Device

  • The penis may have a bluish cast to it, and the will appear larger then normal. Don’t be alarmed. This is normal when the penis is filled with blood, and a constriction ring is at the base of the penis.
  • You must wait at least 60 minutes after you take off the ring before you use the ring again. This will let the blood supply return to normal in your penis.
  • Put a little water soluble lubricant on your pubic hair before you use the ring. This will keep the ring from tangling in the hair.
  • When your put the ring in place, put the ring handles towards the top and bottom of the penis. This will help you with ejaculation and make removal easier.
  • If you have trouble getting your penis hard, you probably are not getting a good seal. Check the seals at the base of the penis and the O-Rings. You may nee to apply more of each lubricant. Use water soluble lubricant on the end of the tube. Use petroleum base lubricant on the pump O-Ring.
  • Practice make Perfect. Try different sizes of rings and the amounts of vacuum pull to find what works best for you.

NEVER WEAR THE CONSTRICTION RING FOR MORE THEN 30 MINUTES!!
